The GOsmart Tri-Axis Pocket Pedometer (HJ-303) is simple to use and easy to set-up. Best of all, it works in any position. It's the first GOsmart pedometer that accurately measures straight up and down, at an angle, on its side, and even completely flat.
It is more advanced than pedometers that use a simple pendulum design. The 3D Smart Sensor, the brain inside the GOsmart, knows exactly when you're taking a step. It filters out non-walking movements so you know your step count is accurate.
What is Smart Sense Technology? GOsmart Pedometers by Omron feature Smart Sense technology. Instead of using a simple pendulum mechanism (the clicking you hear on most pedometers), GOsmart pedometers use advanced acceleration sensors. These sensors know exactly when you are taking a step and filter out non-walking movements so you know your count is accurate.
Does it matter where the pedometer is placed or attached? The new GOsmart Tri-Axis Pocket Pedometer (HJ-303) is the most advanced GOsmart pedometer - it can be used at any angle even flat! Use in a pocket, purse/bag or on the hip in any direction.
What's the accuracy rate of Omron Pedometers? The precision of the step counting is within +/- 5%.
What are moderate steps? The HJ-151 and HJ-303 GOsmart pedometers separately displays the steps and minutes walked at a moderate pace, 90 steps or more per minute.
Power and Dimensions The HJ-303 uses 1 lithium battery (Included) that last with normal use for about 6 months. Package measures 3" x 1 3/8" x 1/2" inches (L x W x H) and weighs 1.0oz (battery included).

Perfect except for time reset bugSeptember 1, 2010 Ahmad Alnusif(Kuwait) I've been using this device for two weeks now and I'm very happy with it. At first I encountered the time bug which either resets your time or makes it jump several hours.
I finally found the cause. I've been keeping my Omron in the same pocket as my mobile phone and it seemed to be affecting it somehow.
I moved it to the other pocket and it's been running without problems ever since.
It's very small (much smaller than I expected) and light and does the job very well.
Highly recommended!
Clock flaw, otherwise greatAugust 29, 2010 Jesse J. Camacho(Kansas City, MO) I bought this for the size, which is very good. But on at least 3 occasions so far, the clock has randomly reset. Otherwise this is very good. I might try to pinpoint the issue. I think that another reviewer noted a similar issue.
pedometerAugust 25, 2010 avmanor(Westmont, NJ United States) Very happy with this pedometer. I had several cheap ones before this and they were hard to read, or set or use. This is worth the extra money. Tells you the calories burned, steps and cumulative steps and it has the time. The clip is secure and you can just clip it on in the morning and go. I would recommend it.
Have owned over over 1 year and I still love itAugust 20, 2010 Golfing Fool Have accidentally washed it, lost it, found it - have clipped to my waistband, pockets, in purse, etc. Very accurate. I have owned probably a dozen + pedometers and this is by far the best. I bought two when they were on sale and am glad I did for those times I misplace it.
Keeps on ticking!August 14, 2010 Timeflies54 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I own this wonder pedometer too! I was in the website to check prices. I washed mine last night when I left it in my jean pocket. I almost cried. I took the battery out and set it on the window sill all day to dry out. I put the battery back in just now and it works!! It even has all my steps registered in the history. I AM SOOO EXCITED. I am addicted to wearing a pedometer. It is my motivation to walk just a little further, a little longer, a little faster.
I will only wear the Omron brand pedometer. It is the most durable pedometer I have ever had. And like a lot of you I have a basket full of purchased and free pedometers.
