Love it / Hate it August 31, 2010 Keith R. Wahl I love the accuracy of this pedometer. However, it has some major drawbacks. If one does not offload the data, it stops working. Moreover, if it is given as a gift and one has a Mac, the software is useless (and one cannot download the data and the item stops working). Another problem is that the software uses MS Access as a back end and Access database files of the vintage are highly likely to become corrupt (which it has several times over the last four years). By the way, it has been four years and they are yet to update the software, which should say something as well. So while I would say that it is a great pedometer, the promise behind the software is not worth the cost. Buy the HJ-112 and a notebook and use along with a standard spreadsheet and you will be better off.

This pedometer works great in your pocket, on your waistband, on your purse strap. It seems to be very accurate. It is relatively small and compact. Love it!

A Wonder Instrument - I am in awe August 23, 2010 Eric Wilder (Oklahoma) This little device is so light and simple, even I figured it out. It also accumulates masses of useful information for those of us in a perpetual battle with age, health and weight. As readers of my blog know, I'm on a quest to become healthier and this baby is really helping. It's very inexpensive and worth at least ten times as much as I paid. p.s. it can't cook Cajun. Best Pedometer EVER--No exceptions! August 22, 2010 Sunflower Susan 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This pedometer is fantastic--I've tried numerous other brands, and some considerably more costly. This one is accurate, downloads for great data to check personal progress, etc. Warning: it says to not submerge this pedometer--and I knew that--but jumped off the pool deck in a moment on "non-thought" into the water (I lead fitness classes). Sure enough, I was online ordering my replacement pedometer the same afternoon. I even ordered one to use as a "demo" for my class participants. It is now my fave fitness "gadget" for holiday gifts, etc.
